The optical cable junction box is a connecting equipment installed outdoors. The most fundamental requirement for it is that it can withstand the rapidly changing climate and harsh working environment. It should have the characteristics of waterproof gas condensation, waterproof and dustproof, pest and mouse prevention, and strong impact damage resistance. It must be able to withstand the harsh external environment. Therefore, the outside of the box has high requirements for waterproof, moisture-proof, dust-proof, impact damage prevention, insect and rat damage prevention, etc; Its inner side has very high requirements for temperature and humidity control. According to international standards, the highest standard of these projects is IP66. However, there are not many box housings that can meet this standard. The cable junction box used in China mainly includes the original German Krone box. The box is made of unsaturated polyester glass fiber reinforced material (SMC), which has good performance in waterproof, moisture-proof and impact damage prevention. The imitations of Krone box in China refer to metal box mainly made of iron (generally reaching IP65 standard). For the metal box, due to its poor performance in waterproof gas condensation, it is doomed not to be widely used and will be gradually eliminated. Some domestic imitations are quite different from Krone imported from Germany in terms of water vapor condensation and impact resistance due to material performance problems. In addition, due to the poor anti-aging performance of the sealant strip, the performance in terms of water resistance and dust prevention is also average. Of course, when the external environment of the installation position of the optical cable junction box is good, it is acceptable to reduce the performance requirements and investment.
