Explosive welding was first put forward by Carl in 1944. He was the first to observe the solid-state welding of materials caused by explosive detonation under high-speed collision, so he put forward the idea of using explosion and ultrasonic technology to weld various metals together. Then philipchuk V of the United States introduced the explosive welding technology into the actual industry for the first time, and successfully realized the explosive welding between aluminum and steel. By the early 1960s, the United Kingdom, the former Soviet Union, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Czech Republic, Japan and other countries had also carried out research on explosive welding technology and theory, making the technology more and more mature. Especially since the 1980s, explosive welding theory and experimental technology have made great progress, and many innovations have been made in application technology, which makes the technology widely used in chemical industry, petroleum, pharmaceutical, shipbuilding, military, even nuclear industry, aerospace and other fields.
